About Luka

Luka is an aviation cybersecurity specialist and Part-IS expert.

Safety today is both physical and digital. With aviation systems more digitised and interconnected than ever, I believe we’re facing a new frontier in the fight against information security threats - and safeguarding against them is essential.

My Story

Aviation has always felt like home to me. I grew up surrounded by it, the people, the aircraft, the stories, and that early exposure shaped how I see the world. I’ve always admired how aviation blends precision, teamwork, and trust to keep something so complex running safely.

As technology became a bigger part of aviation, I started asking a simple question:

How do we protect all of this in a digital and interconnected world?

That question led me to where I am today. I help aviation organisations strengthen their defences against modern cyber threats while preserving the safety culture that defines this industry.

My work focuses on integrating information security into existing safety and compliance systems, making it a natural and seamless part of how aviation already operates, not an added burden. Aviation has decades of experience managing safety and risk, and my goal is to bring cybersecurity into that same rhythm so it supports rather than disrupts what already works.

I’ve led the implementation of EASA Part-IS across a wide range of aviation contexts, including air operators, CAMOs, MROs, and Approved Training Organisations (ATOs), amongst others. Each environment brings its own challenges, but the mission is always the same: building practical, effective, and sustainable information security management that integrates naturally within existing safety and compliance management approaches.

With a background in computer networks, cybersecurity, and penetration testing, as well as experience leading ISO/IEC 27001-certified Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), I’ve learned how to turn complex standards into workable, meaningful improvements. I also hold IATA certifications in Aviation Cybersecurity, Operational Cybersecurity, and Cybersecurity Audit & Inspection - all of which have helped me understand how to apply this critical field within aviation organisations on every level - technically, operationally, and culturally.

Alongside this, I develop and deliver training courses and content in aviation information security that give professionals the clarity and confidence to manage risks effectively. My courses go beyond the “why” to explore the “how,” helping teams practically understand how cybersecurity supports EASA Part-IS compliance, operational resilience, and ultimately, aviation safety.

For me, this work isn’t just about securing systems. It’s about protecting the trust that aviation is built on.

Because when aviation and cybersecurity truly work together, we don’t just prevent incidents - we protect the future of flight and the aviation industry itself.
